I got the word this week! 140 lbs. gone!!!!!! Woot! Can I tell you how much I LOVE the scale? I feel like the wealthiest person alive. My dreams are coming true!!
I still have about 10 lbs., which I think will be the most difficult 10 lbs, but I’m not worried. I reflected on the entire journey during my workout this morning (something to keep my mind off the fact that my butt was on fire!).
I have tried to be careful about saying things like, “it’s easy.” Because it’s anything but easy. Yes, the fasting is easier than anything else I have tried, but even still, it’s not easy. It’s so hard to make changes. Food is weaved up in our lives like a web. Every function, every celebration, the way we handle and respond to stress – we turn to food. The 3-meal a day paradigm plus snacks, plus functions, plus stress, plus, plus, plus. It’s also scary making changes. The thoughts that went through my mind…what if I fail? What if I can’t lose weight? What if it costs too much… The “what ifs”.
It’s easy to see why I was 300 lbs. I had many many excuses for not doing it.
Thing is, this time around, I was ready to make a change – and I did. I completely changed my lifestyle and maintained it – and that’s the ticket. Being ready.
No matter what, it’s not going to be easy. It’s not easy to tell people, I’m not eating that – period – because it’s not good for me. It’s not easy to get up early in the morning when it’s cold to do cardio with weights.
While it’s not easy, it’s worth it.
What it is is worth it. Happiness is worth it, and I am infinitely happier now than I was then. Feeling good is worth it. I have never felt better inside my own body. Having a positive self-worth, worth it. I now make myself a priority and I like that feeling. Seeing yourself in a positive light – worth it. I smile when I look in the mirror because I love what I see. I love the changes. I love everything about it. Feeling energized. Extremely worth it! I have never had so much positive energy that emanates into everything I do – the homeschooling, being a wife, being a friend, being a mother, and knowing what’s important to me.
You have to be ready. No amount of shakes or pills, or whatever the industry comes out with (wraps…rubs…oils…) will change the fact that you need to be ready.
When you are ready, I’m here with a plan that works for the busy mom, one who struggles with money, time, and motivation.
You are not alone because I know what it takes to get to where you want to be. I have “been there and done that!”
No matter how much you weigh, while not easy, IT IS possible!
Are You Ready?
