A Gallery of Watercolor

In effort to bring more art into our homeschool program – I have been searching for fun and EASY (key word) projects for the kids. For me, it’s important to find projects that are suitable for all ages.  I need one set up and one technique that will work for all (due to my laziness with art).   This week, we experimented with watercolor.  We replicated some of the techniques that Artchoo blogs about here.

I’m really proud of Hadyn.  He was always under-confident when it came to his writing and art work.  You would literally have to stand on top of him.  In less than a year, it is  like he has blossomed.  He loves doing his art.  he’s very confident in his abilities.  He doesn’t need anyone standing over him. It’s amazing and such a treat to see!

Ava, on the other hand has always been independent.  She practiced some of the techniques, but really wanted to do her own thing.  She loved experimenting with different colors on her paper.

The kids having tons of fun.

  1. These are lovely! I have such fond memories of painting with watercolors with my siblings as a kid!

    • Cool. I hope At least Ava and Hadyn can remember this!

You had a huge family though. I just saw that you have like 9 brothers and sister. Whew!

Go Mom! Strong Mother you had. I would have a stroke if I had that many kids. I would be crazed.
