Blog Awards

I am honored to have received 3 blog awards over the past (Lisa clears here throat) 2 months.

Eeek.

Sorry guys.  My blogging schedule has been so completely full.

So, I want to make sure you know how much I appreciate the thought and consideration.  It’s always an honor to be thought about by my blogger friends.  It means a lot.

sunshine-award

Thank you, Leanna of All Done Monkey – for the Sunshine Award.  The sunshine award is given to bloggers who write positive and inspiring articles and bring sunshine into the lives of others.

Thanks Leanna for thinking of me.

Like anything else, there are some rules

  •     Link back the blog who nominated you.
  •     Post the award images in your blog.
  •     Tell seven facts about yourself.
  •     Nominate 5 to 10 blogs and let them know about it.

7 facts

  1. I’m scared of mold.  I’ve always been scared of mold.  It gives me the heebie jeebies.  I have been known to throw away Tupperware so I wouldn’t have to look at it.  My Mother was the cleaner of all things moldy.  Since she has passed, the job was passed along to my son.
  2. I used to be an ice skater.  I wanted to be Dorothy Hamill.
  3. At one point in my young life, I thought Bob Denver was cute.
  4. Google+ is my favorite social media platform with Twitter being a close second.
  5. There are not many things I will say “no” to – but Instagram is one.  I just can’t use Instagram.
  6. In a perfect world, I wouldn’t have to worry.
  7. I don’t drink coffee.  I don’t like it and I never had.  My drink of choice is hot chocolate with extra whipped cream.  I often ask for a tall in a grande cup – filled to the brim with cream.  I wouldn’t put it past myself to ask for a tall cup filled to the brim with luscious and fresh shipped cream.

Bloggers who will bring a smile to your face – even at the darkest moments

  1. Jen Kehl
  2. Finding Ninee
  3. Crazy Adventures in Parenting
  4. There’s Magic Out There
  5. Brainstorm – Gilly is incredibly inspiring.

    • Hahaha! That is very funny. My husband is significantly older than me. He’s almost 9 years older, so he was 27/28 when we met. I remember being out with one of his friends, and his friend asked me if I wanted to drink. I told him I wasn’t old enough. He looked at me with his mouth open and just started cracking up laughing. I will never forget it.

Yes, you are right. I do need someone to deliver my meals and do the cooking and cleaning.

Oh, you gave me an award? I’m sorry bout that. I will find it and answer the questions. Sometimes I just don’t get to my daily blogs everyday like I should.

  6. Aw, Lisa! Thank you SO MUCH for the lovely shoutout – I so very much appreciate it and I am only saying this so that you know how much more awesome you are than I – (whisper) I have not acknowledged a few blog awards since – um – eeek- well months ago….and I need to. I get the best intentions of thanking and answering questions and then I find myself forgetting for weeks, getting embarrassed…
So thank you my friend, for reminding me that all of us get caught up in real life, in jobs, in everything…and for including me in your list. I am honored. And HAHAH to your dream vacation- my Mother’s Day wish this year was to have the whole day to myself. As in my husband takes my kid out without me for the whole day. He lasted about an hour and 45 minutes. So I agree that is an amazing wish. I’m scared of mold, too, and have “recycled” many of Tucker’s bath toys because EW. Mold and mildew. Gross.

    • Hey Krisi,

Yeah, I kept forgetting too. You know, on the surface, it’s annoying. You have to answer questions, think of questions and notify other bloggers. But down deep, somebody has thought of you when they could have thought of 1,000 other bloggers. The way I think of it, there are so so so many bloggers out there – In that way it’s an honor, and should be recognized. So then, it is no longer an annoyance.

After this round, and my initial bad attitude about the whole thing – I’m going to real strive to be better if I get another one. I am going to answer the questions within a week, even if i have to do two blog posts that day.

I’m sorry thought to add to your burden. I know how it is – trust me. Don’t feel like you have to add my 11 questions on top of the 40 you already have. You’ve showed me the love here and through your posts. No worries.

The 1 hour and 45 minute outing is funny. That’s what happens here. He brings them in, drops them off and disappears. The thing is, when I have a kid break, I know I have to get everything done in that time, cause they are coming back soon.

Hee hee on the mold. It’s so gross. I hate it!

      Have a wonderful weekend!

  8. Hey, way to go! It’s been a pleasure knowing for these past months. And I’m so very happy to share this joyous moment with you. Great blogging.

Empathy? Interesting question. Empathy is a selfless act so…. I’d have to say that I show empathy by listening to others and showing appreciation.
