Blog Shoutout for – Week of March 11th

Happy Monday everyone!  It looks to be that time.  Woot woot!  It’s Blog Shoutout day!  A sweet shout out for all those sweet articles, fun crafts and delicious delectables.

  1. Here is an excellent article  titled When Your Child Won’t Take No For an Answer from Green Child Magazine.   There is solid advice in this article
  2. What Really Causes Celiac Disease  A really good article to read if you are wondering whether you should be feeding/or should start feeding your child Gluten.  There is a lot of good information contained in this article.
  3. Learning Planning, Patience and Persevering by Crafting by Mama Smiles.  I loved this article simply because it teaches kids patience as well as following through with a project to the end.  These are very important lessons for a child to learn.  I love that she teaches her kids theses lessons.  She inspires me!

  1. This Chicken jerk Recipe from FoodieCityMama.  I want to try – much.
  2. Typically, the recipes I list are pretty easy.  Being a homeschool Mom, official kid transporter, blogger and regular gym goer, I don’t have a lot of time for a lot of crazy cooking.  These Korean Pancakes do not look easy (just look at the ingredient list) but they look and sound so delicious.
  3. I made the Very Banana Bread by Sarah at ssimplyme.  Can I say YUM?  I made some changes as I put in one less banana (I don’t like an overwhelming banana flavor – and I added walnuts.  YUMMY!  Take a look…

I have a lot of very good craft ideas.  But in my opinion, the coolest craft idea came from

  1. Artchoo.  She talked about drawing in air with the 3Doodler.  Totally awesome!

  1. Thank you so much for the shoutout, Lisa! And I really appreciate your sharing that article about Celiac disease. My son was actually just tested for that at Boston Children’s, so it’s a timely topic in our house (does look like he’s okay, but that doesn’t answer the questions about the symptoms that led drs to test for that…)

    • Of course! Love your blog.

Celiac is so confusing. Not sure there is a right or a wrong thing. I’m sure glad your son doesn’t have the disease, but I know it has lead to more questions. Totally annoying, I know.

  2. Thanks for the shout out! 🙂 I think what makes recipes fun is all the ways we can adapt them in a way to make it “ours”. Yours look delicious! Turned out beautifully! 🙂

    • Hey Sarah! It is my pleasure! The recipe was awesome! Yeah, there are tons of ways. I would like to try dried fruit! That would taste so delicious!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  3. Yay! But I totally disagree with you on the banana bread. I haven’t found a banana bread recipe yet that has enough banana taste for me. Sigh. But thanks for the shout out- doesn’t that crazy 3-d doodle thing look AWESOME?

    • Haha! To each their own. I guess we would have to have separate loaves! Ha!

That doodle thing does look totally awesome. Are you gonna buy one?
