World Book Day – A Blog Shoutout Children’s Book Authors

I’m into celebrating World Book Day (Thursday March 7)- even though it’s a European thing.  To celebrate, this week, I’m talking all books – all week!

Yea!

So, since this is my normal blog shoutout day, I’m going to give a shoutout to those little known Authors who delight our Children each and every day!

Come Back Dear Sun

Written by Geena Bean & Illustrated by Cheri Webber

Come Back Dear Sun is a delightfully unique children’s book told in well-written rhyme through beautiful illustrations. Young and old alike are sure to cherish this easy-flowing picture book with a memorable message. Imagine what it would be like to awake to the moon glow instead of the sun shining through your window. How would it be to have your days gloomy instead of bright? Well, these children aim to find out what has happened to their sun! (taken from the website)

  1. I LOVE to read and am thrilled that my daughter appears to be heading in the same direction. I’m going to have to check out the books you mentioned as they look really cute. Some of my favorites to read to her are the Llama Llama series, I Love You All the Time, and anything Dr. Seuss. 🙂
