Have you heard of CosmoCamp? CosmoCamp offers interactive adventure story books and fun learning games for children ages 2-5. The CosmoCamp apps are games are developed in conjunction with child development specialists and educators. We have tried about 4 apps, and we LOVE them. Check out our review the Matching Game and Incredi-Ride interactive storybook. CosmoCamp has been in existence for about 2 years. Check out their announcement trailer.

Did I mention that the games and story books are fantastic? Well, if I haven’t, they are. They are fun and interactive games and story books. My two youngest love them and I know yours will too. In these group of apps, we reinforced or learned our colors and we worked on our music and reading skills.
One thing I love about CosmoCamp apps, is that you have the option of choosing between the toddler level (ages 2 and 3) and the preschool level (ages 3-5) not only being able to progressively work on skills as your child masters concepts, but also, to be able to work with multiple children in your family. It’s so easy.
Just click on the Parents Zone, input the answer to the equation, and then choose your level!
Each game or story book app offers each child a variety of options.
Each story book has a read together mode, where the parent reads to the child. It also has Read to Me mode, where the app reads and each word is highlighted as it’s read. Lastly, there is a Read-Along, where the child can actually record their voice. The games are similar. There are 3 options and your child can pick and chose what they want to do.
Review: CosmoCamp Music
We had a lot of fun with CosmoCamp Music. We played the piano, trumpet, double base, guitar and more! The kids really get a feel for the instrument and how it sounds. Once they have mastered each instrument, they can test their knowledge with a quiz. Check out our video.
As you see, the app is extremely interactive and fun for both my toddler and preschooler. The preschoolers have the choice of playing more instruments. Likewise, In the quiz, they have a choice between 5 cards, as opposed to 3 (as shown).
In concert mode, your child will get a chance to mix and match the instruments to determine how different sounds work together. Your child just drags and drops the cute CosmoCamp characters onto the stage. Your toddler will get a choice of 3 instruments and your preschooler will get a choice of 5 instruments.
Review: CosmoCamp Space Race
Space Race is an interactive storybook. The kids enjoyed listening and interacting with the story. Check out our video!
While my 6-year-old enjoyed listening to the story and recording her voice, my 2-year-old liked interacting with the story more. He would touch on the pictures and be delighted by their movement and sounds.
Review: CosmoCamp Color Treasure Hunt
The Treasure Hunt game was the most fun for my 6-year-old. She loved searching the house for different colors. It got her up and moving. This was the only game I didn’t do with my 2-year-old. Something about walking around with the iPad didn’t sound too smart. I think I could have helped him to understand the concept. If I were to do the activity with a 2-year-old, I would be the one walking around and I would ask him to find the color. I didn’t do that activity with him because I knew he would want to hold the iPad.
Here was my daughters treasure hunt.
