Mamas! Have soft and Supple Skin with the Dermagist Hydrating Spa Set Review and Giveaway

Dermagist spa Set Giveaway

I have problematic skin.  I always have.  As a kid, I remember my legs being so irritated and itchy, I had to use a  prescription skin cream.  Now, I no longer have to use a prescription, but my skin is terribly dry – even in the summer.  It’s not getting any better the younger I get.

So when Demagist contacted me, it was obvious what products I wanted to try.  If the Hydrating Spa System (body, hand, & foot) keeps my dry skin soft – then it will probably work on anybody.

Probably not surprising, but I was a bit skeptical.  I have tried just about every over the counter lotion I can find.  Most of the time, my skin is dry an hour later.  Even less time in the dry days of winter.

I am also really careful about what I put on my skin.  These are the criteria that are most important to me.

  1. The lotion is not watery.  I hate when it pours out of the bottle.  A water based product does nothing for my skin.  In many cases, the abundant moisture and lack of rehydration properties dries my skin further.
  2. The lotion doesn’t stink.  I hate perfumes.  It bothers me and it bothers everyone around me.  I am an unscented freak.  I can’t wear anything with perfume.  The smell tends to irritate me.
  3. No oil based products.  Oil base clogs my pores and gives me blemishes.   Not good.
  4. Non-oily feel.  I hate when  I put something on and feel it all over my skin or hair.  Yucky.  If my skin or hair feels heavy with product, it’s no good for me.  I’m a minimalist just because of this.  I don’t want to feel weighed down.

Even though the first ingredient in the body lotion, hand and foot cream is water, It doesn’t seem like it.  The lotion is nice and thick and hydrating.

Robust lotion

The lotion definitely isn’t watery.  It absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave an oily after feel!  Best of all, there is no smell.  The foot cream does have a slight smell – but it is a refreshing minty smell.  It helped to clear my head after a very busy day.  The subtle fragrance isn’t at all offensive or strong.   After just a few weeks of daily application of the body, foot and hand lotion – I saw great improvement in the condition of my skin.

It didn’t take much time (which I don’t have).  There wasn’t a great preparation process.  Just put on the lotion and go.

The foot lotion has a bit of a cooling sensation upon application – which relaxes and soothes tired feet.  It’s perfect for a busy Mom on the go.  What a way to relax after a stressful and trying day and bedtime.  Personally, it’s difficult for me to put the kids to bed.  They are resistant – sometimes to an extreme.  After finally putting them to bed, I love just putting the foot lotion on – and exhaling.  It just made me feel better.

In the end, I think that’s what it’s all about, right?  Taking care of yourself and feeling better.  Mom’s need that.  Just think about it, the better you feel – the better you can tend to your kids.  The day is so busy.  We give 100% of ourselves to our families/kids.  It’s nice to be able to take care of your skin: an essential organ – the barrier and protector to everything pathogenic.  More importantly, it’s nice to just feel good and feel good about taking care of yourself.

I love the Hydrating Spa System so much – that I wanted to share it with one lucky Lady!  I am hoping that you enjoy it as much as I do.
