“She turned to the sunlight And shook her yellow head, And whispered to her neighbor: “Winter is dead.”
~A. A. Milne
I love to breathe in the fresh spring air. There is nothing like it. When I wake up to the birds singing, it’s invigorating. I just love the idea of life renewed. I love that it surrounds us. For me, it gives me hope for a brighter future.
In honor of spring – I want to celebrate the freshness of spring. I know that springtime is really coming when I see…
The fresh pink vibrant color of our Azaleas and the potential of the Rhododendron. What spectacular beauty it is soon to bring.
Little girls traversing the grass with bare feet.
The fresh dew on the newly blossomed rose bush.
New buds of growing trees, and new sprouts of bountiful pink and white Peony blossoms.
Fresh new deep green leaves of what will be vibrant purple and dark blue Hydrangea blossoms come July – and the turning green from the winter brown – Zoysia grass.
Of course, the Cherry Trees, and Tulips.
The Cherry blossoms in their fresh glory!
And of course what always comes with new life, new love, new beginnings – the blasted weeds.
And last but definitely not least…
The smell of fresh smokin’ ribs on the Barbie!
Oh yeah!
That’s what I’m talking about!
What do you love about springtime?

What beautiful photos of your spring flowers! I love spring because it brings such a sense of new beginnings, like anything is possible! I’m very jealous of your brick grill by the way!

Thanks so much for stopping by Kerry! I feel the same way about spring. Isn’t it so refreshing?
I remember being in college and just loving it cause all the students would be out and happy. It was great! It’s a fond memory.

Lisa, such a beautiful post. Love all the flowers. We don’t get the same spring here so I actually miss the extreme season change at times. Btw, I moved from Little Artists !
