Future Engineer Kit for your Littlest STEAMists
For my littlest homeschoolers, we got the Future Engineers Kit which contains 3 great projects that are geared towards children preschool-5th grade. These projects are totally age appropriate!
In this kit, your children will explore the following concepts…
Simple and parallel circuits
Art integration
Literacy
Movement with motors
Switches
Prototyping
Project 1 – Paper Circuits (Preschool-K)
For my preschool budding engineer we had a lot of fun making circuits! We learned all about them and what makes them work.
Our first project was The Paper Circuits. We followed easy instructions that guided Grayson in his journey to success! It was so easy for me and so rewarding for him!
Success! See, the LED light turns on when you connect the circuit!
Project 2 – Light-up Superhero Mask (Preschool – K)
Grayson had a lot of fun with this project. He colored and made his own light up superhero mask, fit with a cape and superhero clothes!
He decided he wanted to be batman. He decorated the mask himself, and together, we made the circuit. We connected the copper tape to the LED and then to the battery!
Project 3 – Motorized Bot (Grades K+)
This was Ava’s robotics project. She followed the instructions, decorated her robot with pipe cleaners and google eyes and had fun!
She had fun experimenting with the motor. The robot will move differently depending upon the placement of the motor.
All of these projects came with the pieces that they need. The extras needed were scissors, crayons, and imagination!
The Future Engineers Kit comes with the following…
1 red toolbox
1 pair of safety glasses
1 DC hobby motor with alligator clip leads 1.5V-3V
