Before we discuss lunch and snack ideas, the single most important thing is that healthy kids are hydrated kids. Hydration doesn’t mean filling them with sugary sports drinks and drinks with sugar substitutes.
Sugar and sugar substitutes cause the activation of opiate receptors in our body.  This activation causes a sugar addiction causing more sugar cravings.

Aqua OH

Kids should be drinking at least 1/2 their body weight in ounces of water.  Pure water.  Keith recommends that you add Aqua OH to your household regimen.
Why Aqua OH?
Soreness, pain, chronic pain, stiffness, it’s all caused by your body being acidic.  Aqua OH has more hydroxide than any other alkaline water, and very little minerals. Minerals buffer acidity, but hydroxide eliminates it by reacting with acidity and in the process turning it into water.
You add 1 ounce of Aqua OH to 31 ounces of water.  Your children can prepare their own water bottles for school.   For one child, a gallon will last half a year!

Healthy Lunch Ideas

Schools see tons of discarded fruits and vegetables every single year.  If your kids take an active role in preparing their food/water,  it will excite them, they will appreciate it more and be more apt to drink it.

Lunches that appeal to the eye in color, texture and flavor will appeal to the taste.

Have you heard of Bento Boxes?

Bento Boxes are compartmentalized lunch boxes.  You can put different foods in each compartment.  I think it’s a brilliant idea for not only an interesting unique lunch, but also an easy way for kids to prepare their own lunches.

Let’s be honest.  As parents, if kids can take an active role in what they eat, and be happy about choosing healthy options, it takes something off our full plates.

Like I said before, If it’s interesting and they put it together, they will more likely enjoy eating it!

Just have the fruits/veggies/food on hand and they can make their own creations!  It’s easy for you and fun for them.

Here are some great ideas, for fun Bento Box Lunches.

You can easily get freezer packs, to prevent bacterial growth and keep lunch items fresh.
