Frostbite
A fantastic book that will melt the frosty of hearts this holiday season. The little boy in this book is not unlike my kids. He wants a dog, but what comes with dogs for moms and dads is a lot of work and expense. While they are cute, they require extra attention, food, doctors visits and the like. Disappointed, that his mom and dad won’t get him a dog, the boy takes matters in his own hands goes outside looking for one. When it’s time to come in, the boy gets sad. He doesn’t want to leave his dog out in the cold by himself – but what he finds when he brings him in is much more surprising.
If your child is a dog lover, he/she will love the ending just as much as the beginning. Just as always in classic Julia Dweck books Frostbite ends with fun facts to amaze and please even the most avid investigator. At the conclusion of the story, your child will be delighted with interesting tidbits about different dogs.
A cute positive story written in the classic rhyme that Julia Dweck is famous for; the fun colorful bright illustrations will melt the heart of kids of all ages!
