Meet Odie, a cute little orange and white cat your kids will adore, and Bandit, an older black and white cat with a spot on his back. Best friends forever, they live together on a farm with their girl (the girl who cares for them) and two horses. In these two books, together as friends, they reminisce on how they came to be where they are today – comfortable on the farm where they roam free. The path wasn’t easy for either of them. They had to get through great strife. Through their rough path, they maintained hope and learn to trust again and again. For, without hope and trust, they wouldn’t have found their forever friendship.
In these two sweet stories, your children will follow Odie and Bandit’s separate paths to find each other and their “forever home”
Odie’s Best Friend
In Odie’s Best Friend, Odie, the cute little orange cat wondered how Bandit came to live on the farm. So, Bandit tells his sad story of finding love with not only one family, but two other families, who could not keep him. He found himself lonely in a shelter until a family found him, but then ignored him. He ran away and became a stray. It was hard for him to maintain hope that he would find his “forever home”. Fearing abandonment, he didn’t want to become close to anyone. This is a story of courage your children will not forget. Bandit was able to overcome his fear and find a way to trust again – so that he was able to finally find his “forever home”.
Odie the Stray Kitten
In this true heartwarming story of a stray kitten, Odie tells his story of how he found Bandit and his “forever home”. He ventured through the cold, the dark of night and hunger to find a warm barn to sleep in. Through it all he had many adventures your kids will discover.

I love these illustrations! They are absolutely adorable. And I’ve been thinking a lot about the concept of hope lately, so these books would be perfect to share that with my kids. Thanks so much for sharing this at Booknificent Thursday this week! Happy Thanksgiving!
