#LPL-Full curriculum grades 1-4 from Lesson Plan Ladies #homeschool

Have you heard of the Lesson Plan Ladies?  I had never heard of them, but was introduced to them today.  They create full year lesson plans covering all topics (geography, history, phonics, handwriting, recitation, literature (Christian and Secular), music, art, science and math).  The lesson plans are built around strong books and curricula.  For example, the 1st grade math curriculum they build their 4 day a week lesson plans using Saxon Math 1 as well as Can You Find Me.  In my opinion, Saxon math is the most comprehensive and academic program available.  It’s widely used in homeschool as well as Public and private schools.  Saxon has worked really well for us and I continue to use it for all of my kids.

I haven’t yet used any of their lesson plans, but thought you might be interested in taking a look.  I think it’s a very good possibility for us, if the lessons are strong academically.  Based on looking at the recommended books, it  looks like a strong program.  The only thing, is that they teach print first.  Eh.  I really like the way cursive first works.  Check them out for yourself here.

I signed up for their email list.  They are also offering a great freebie, and you don’t need to sign up for their email list.  You can download it here.  Under the picture, you can download the 4th grade Christian Literature list just by clicking on the link.  Even if you are like us and don’t use Christian Curriculum, the free download will give you a good idea of the type and quality of books they recommend.

Right now, the pre-k and Kindergarten curriculum is out, but they are planning to add the 1st-4th grade curriculum soon.

They also offer curriculum bundles – which if you purchase – you save 20%.
