The Observations of the Obstreperous Animals Review
Okay…Okay…I admit it. I had no idea what Obstreperous was. So, before reading the book, I looked it up on Google. 🙂
Yep! The perfect title! Obstreperous describes Stanley and Katrina Von Kat to a tee!
Have you read Stanley and Katrina’s first book. If you haven’t, you should before reading this one. You can read my review here. Since we last heard from them, Stanley and Katrina were entering a pet show! At the beginning of this new and exciting book, we find Stanley and Katrina heading home from the pet show on their way to do an agility course. The agility course is tough for Katrina. How will she get through all of her worries? Will she get through the course?
Throughout the books, this funny dog and cat duo have many adventures together – like writing poetry, having pet psychic abilities, moving – which is always stressful to animals, – especially when they now have to share their space.
This is definitely a fun book. The Observations of the Obstreperous Animals is the perfect companion to the first book. Like the first, It’s written in hilarious narration written in perspective and back-and-forth-banter between Katrina Von Kat, the cat in charge, and Stanley, the dog who wants to be in charge. This is an engaging book for any first chapter book reader! Your kids will want to pick it up and read it again and again!
