@Rocknlearn learn to read 10 DVD collection #giveaway ends 9/7

I love Rock ‘n Learn.  The system has worked WONDERS for my preschooler with a speech delay.  I use the Early Childhood Collection a lot to work on the alphabet and numbers.  He can now say his numbers forwards to 20 and backwards from 10.  It’s amazing.  I also use the Learn a Languages DVD.  For him, I select English and he likes to repeat the words for objects in the DVD.  It’s fun for him and it works.  In combination with speech therapy help, his language has grown so much in the last 6 months.  His speech is much more clear, and his confidence has grown greatly.  I attribute a lot of this growth to the Rock ‘n Learn program.

So, when I had the opportunity to review the Learn to Read program – now on sale on Groupon here for 65% off, it was a no brainer.  These DVDs are great for not only him, but also my second grader, as I am working on teaching her phonics.  There are 10 DVD’s included – based on incremental development.  So, I start in the beginning for him and in the middle for her.  It’s so easy to customize!

Plus, with reinforcement worksheets – easily printed off Freephonicsworksheets.com – it makes for a complete and  phonics program – prek-grade 2.

This collection of 10 DVDs and downloadable activities provides a fun and effective way to boost reading skills, from beginner learners through second grade. Entertaining music, humorous characters, and engaging stories keep kids focused. Phonics skills include vowels, consonants, blends, digraphs, diphthongs, silent consonants, rule breakers, and more. Over 170 sight words help build speed and accuracy for the most common words used in children’s literature. This set is easy to use and progresses at an individualized pace. Busy parents appreciate an approach that allows independent practice. Run time: 30-45 minutes each. 336 minutes total.

The DVDs included are the following…

Phonics for beginners

First sight words

Phonics – short vowels, consonants, and CVC words

Phonics – double consonants, plurals and blends

More advanced sight words

Phonics – long vowels and R-controlled vowels
