Each year, I strive to simplify the holiday season. My main goal is to relax. with the hustle and bustle of a year past, it’s nice to be able to sit back and enjoy the holidays – rather than running around, cooking up a storm, cleaning the house, shopping like crazy or whatever. Despite my best efforts, there are busy things with the kids that I love doing – mostly creating wonderful memories and traditions that I hope the kids will someday enjoy with their own kids.
With an aggressive homeschooling and blogging schedule, my time is cut short. With the little time I have left, I have to cook, do mountains and mountains of laundry, take a shower and sleep. It’s nice to be able to just enjoy a good movie to myself. That’s why I am so glad I have CVS just 5 minutes from my house. It’s open until 10, so I can run and get incidentals, medicine, and anything that my family might need. This year, for me, I picked up a pack of size 4 Pampers and box of “on the go” wipes – just to get me through this busy time. So glad I did. It cut down (significantly) on the amount of time I spent in the laundry room – and gave me more time with the people who I love doing things we love to do.
Making Christmas cookies – stuffing 2 recipes into one – which overflowed the mixer!
Enjoying beautiful light displays.
Opening gifts while enjoying hot chocolate.
Decorating Christmas Trees
Standing in line to visit Santa. When Mom brings a soft pretzel to snack on, and baby sits on the floor, so glad we had the “on the go” Pampers wipes to wipe away the germs.
Spending time together watching Super Pingu.
And just enjoying playing with our new and old toys and spending time together.
There were some very beautiful memories that were made.
You can find Pampers on the web here.
