We had fun making these fantastic Shamrock Water Color paintings, and wanted to share it with you! Hopefully, you will be able to make St. Patrick’s Day a fun homeschool Day.
It was an easy satisfying art project for everyone. It’s relatively no mess if your preschooler doesn’t spill the watercolors all over your brand new floor.
Thin tipped paintbrush
Gold paint pen
With your pencil, lightly draw 5 large X’s on your paper.
With your darker green watercolor, trace the edges of the leaves and fill in green. Make sure to trace the stem as well.
Once you have the 5 shamrocks traced and filled in, use the lighter green color to color in the entire background. Make sure to leave a white halo around your shamrocks.
Once your painting is dry, use the gold paint pen (making sure not to get it onto anything else because it sticks and stays stuck), trace the outside of your shamrocks, and make veins inside the leaves. Make sure to trace the outside of your stem as well.
There you have a very nice shamrock painting to hang up and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.
