Stanley,
My family really enjoyed reading your latest book, The Perpetual papers of the Pack of Pets – but I am sure you know that by now. If you don’t, you certainly can refer back to my review I wrote here.
The kids and I really did enjoy reading the book. We took forever to read it because we wanted it to last. However, throughout the entire time reading about you, Katrina, Mr. Fluffypants (AKA Zorg the space traveling guinea pig), and Mandy – the curious bluebird – I have remained curious as to why Katrina Von Can – The Master of Wisdom and Knowledge seems to have the upper hand with you.
I know – I know. Caninism. But really. You are part Rottweiler. Rottweilers can be pretty scary looking, are they not? They have big powerful muscles. Well, at least they look aggressive. It’s my opinion that you should really have the upper hand in the house.
You really need to “dog” up – and take control. I know you are a weird mix of mutt, but you gotta be less Labrador and more Rottweiler. and that’s all I’m going to say about that.
I mean, I’m just going to say it straight – you let a cat (I know she’s smart) a guinea pig (really) and a bluebird maneuver you. It’s pathetic. You’re a dog.
Take for example – when you went outside to play in the snow – and you thought a bluebird was attacking you. You shivered away in fear. Stanley, you are a dog. Eat the bird!
Oh, I guess you can’t do that in a children’s story, can you?
Hum?
Okay, bark at the bird, bear your teeth, and growl all kinds of mean-like. You should definitely practice that for next time. Look mean – you know. At least try.
One more example because The Cat Council was a real sticking point for me, and I don’t want to drag you through the mud, going on and on schooling you how to be “top dog”.
Nobody needs that kind of negativity.
Okay.
The Cat Council – you ate Katrina’s food, right. Good job on asserting your dominance! However, you let Katrina Von – whomever take control and bring you in front of – what? A cat council?
They are cats.
Chase them away.
Stanley, when you go to court, you have right to be heard by a council of your peers. Cats are not your peers.
It was an unfair hearing – and you should have put your paw down. In the very least, it should have had one dog.
And, Stanley, the issue with the Christmas tree and the vacuum – really?
You know that I love you, right? You are really super smart – being able to write letters without opposable thumbs. We sincerely love your stories. I can’t wait to find out more about the pet show.
This letter was written out of extreme love. With the intention of helping you to bring out your inner dog.
With much Love,
The Squishy Lady.

Why do you love Stanley so? Please don’t give him any ideas. A dog council? Really.

I did not realize I look like that. I don’t usually pay much attention to Katrina, but sometimes I do follow her to see what silly thing she has come up with that will keep me entertained for the rest of the day. She can be quite entertaining. As for the bird, I will give you a list of reasons (okay, just two) of why I reacted the way I did.
1) The bird just startled me.
2) I did not eat the bird b/c I wanted to save stomach space for bowl food.
Thank you for caring so much about me to write a letter. I will work on some things.

Ahhh, that makes sense. I didn’t think about the fact that you didn’t want to ruin your next meal. I can imagine that your food tastes a lot better than bird.
