Blog Shoutout! Week of February 25th

Thank you

Honestly, I cannot believe we are at the end of February.  Where does the time go?

My head is spinning right now with all the stuff I need/want to do.  Yikes!  But before I get into that, I want to do a shout-out to all those awesome blogs out there who have tempted my intellectual and taste bud curiosity!

In my weekly blogging and tweeting, this is all the interesting stuff I pinned last week!  Definitely join me on pinterest.  I would love to connect!

  1. These are truly making my mouth water.  I need to try these.  These yummy looking pecan buns were posted on Magnolia Days blog.  All I can say is – YYYYYUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMYYYYYYYY!
  2. This banana bread recipe from Sarah at Simply Me is a must try.  I think she posted it like maybe 20 times on twitter, when I finally said – I must try this.  If she posted it so much – it must be good (and I think I said something to that affect).

Just looking at these recipes is causing me to gain 10 lbs!

Yummy to the tummy!

Children’s Literature

The kid lit blog hop is in full swing, and I have been taking some serious advantage!

  1. A great picture book about Booker T. Washington for Black History Month posted by Pragmatic Mom
  2. A great review on Family Focus Blog of Come Back Dear Sun by Geena Bean
  3. Girl Role Models that Rock.  Some awesome superhero books featuring superhero girls!

Here are some articles that peaked my interest!

  1. Bullying is a big thing these days. The effects of bullying by the NY Times
  2. Very cute kid friendly jokes by Planet Fassa.  A wonderful website for kids – in general.  Lots of fun learning activities for kids.
  3. In the light of Black History Month – and interesting article on how to talk to your children about racism.

If you have any interesting articles, books, or recipes that you have seen in the last week ,definitely leave a link in the comments section.  I would love to take a look!
