Happiness is_____ Not Taking Anything for Granted

Sometimes it’s time to sit back and appreciate the things that enjoy everyday – and don’t think about.  Typically, I do this when I no longer have it.  For instance, yesterday morning I got up and everything was blurry – even with my glasses on.

Yeah, scary.

Diabetes?  Brain tumor????  What is going on now?  Looks like it’s my sinuses that are so inflamed (from a bad infection) that the tissues are actually pushing on the optic nerve – at least that’s what I hope.

So here are to the things that I love every day – that sometimes I don’t think about.

Happiness is

  • A clean playroom with a clean floor – so rare in my house
  • a beautiful night sky
  • The ability to take over my children’s education.  To be able to teach them the way I see fit (based on the old school methods)
  • The ability to stay home – teach them right from wrong, good from bad- care for – and have influence over my children
  • My kids
  • Sleeping kids
  • Laughing 2-toothed kids
  • My website – which is an absolute blessing from On-High
  • The ability to worship in the way I see fit for myself and my children
  • The ability to stand on two feet, and walk without hindrance
  • Easter flowers from my husband
  • A beautiful princess who loves pink
  • My son looking like a model
  • Raiding the Easter Basket at 3 in the morning.  I really need to stop that or I will have Diabetes
  • Two loads of CLEAN laundry.  That’s 2 loads less than the 10 or so I have to do
  • Waking up and being able to see this beautiful world – clearly

These are the things that make me smile, laugh out loud, and relish in love.

  3. Hey Lisa,

Allergy & sinus put me flat on my back every season. I was out of it on Monday & Tuesday this week. I couldn’t do, the way I normally do. It really caused me to be reflective as well. I’m so grateful for what I have and what I can do. I tried not to complain, because I have so much and have the ability to do even more. Great post and great pics!

      Thanks again for stopping by!

Allergy and sinus is the worst – and can do some very strange things to your body. It’s weird.

  4. I love your list. Right now I am grateful for sunshine, even on (yet another) cold day!
